JOB DESCRIPTION

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; valid New Jersey driver's license Must be a retired law enforcement officer or have prior law enforcement or security experience Must complete and obtain a SORA (Security Officer Registration Act) certification in New Jersey and possess the required documentation to carry a handgun in accordance with Washington Township Policy 7446 and

58-4 Demonstrates excellent integrity, sound judgment, and good moral character Ability to provide leadership and guidance regarding safety and security in an educational environment Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community Demonstrates effective communication skills, both orally and in writing Must be in good health and physical condition Ability to operate security systems and lockdown procedures using district technology Competency in report writing and basic computer applications Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship
