Position:
District Volunteer Coordinator Reports to: Executive Director of Student Services
Supervises:
None
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal:
To maintain and ensure growth of District Volunteer Program while also assisting the Student Programs department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assists in identifying areas in which volunteers may be used effectively. Assist in recruiting and screening volunteers. Reviews and recommends changes in volunteer programs on an on-going basis. Acts as liaison between staff and volunteers to ensure a smooth working relationship. Maintains a system to record volunteer hours for District and State reporting. Attends all PTO meetings. Attends PTA(G) meetings when appropriate. Monitor Paraprofessional credentialing and coordinate required Paraprofessional training. Review budgets and other financial issues with District Grant Assistance Manager in Student Programs department. Assist in the renewal of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between the district and outside agencies. Collect, organize, and maintain reports for Executive Director of Student Services. Assist Student Services with enrollment and transfer tasks. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Employment Terms:
Twelve (12) month classified hourly contract

Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 40 pounds.
Visual Requirements:
Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Hearing/Speaking Requirements:
Adequate to exchange information.
