DJ (Disc Jockey) / VJ

Party Excitement Entertainment is expanding our DJ roster for private events, and we're looking for experienced, reliable DJs who can keep a dance floor moving in real time—not just run a playlist. This role is focused on mixing, music programming, crowd reading, and execution under pressure. Microphone work is handled by our MCs—your job is to deliver the soundtrack that makes the room explode. What You'll Be Doing DJing weddings, mitzvahs, proms, corporate events, and private parties Reading the room and adjusting music live (not set-and-forget) Following structured timelines while adapting when things change (because they always do) Playing high-energy, danceable music (Top 40, throwbacks, party classics, client requests) Representing Party Excitement with professionalism and class Requirements A reliable laptop and experience with professional DJ software (Virtual DJ or Serato) Comfort mixing live in front of real crowds Reliable transportation within ~1 hour of Boston (Woburn warehouse) Ability to communicate clearly and respond promptly before events We provide the full DJ setup—this is about skill, not owning gear. What We're Looking For We're looking for DJs who: Can follow timelines and improvise when events go off-script Stay calm under pressure and keep the dance floor packed Understand this is a high-end private event environment , not a casual hobby gig Treat clients, guests, and vendors with respect (manners still matter—shockingly) Availability Most events are Saturdays, with some Fridays, Sundays, and weekdays. You'll manage availability through our staff portal. More availability generally means more bookings. Our events are high-energy, highly produced, and client-driven—this isn't a casual DJ role.
