Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated
DME/CSR/PA
Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role involves managing durable medical equipment (DME) requests, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting physician administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of managed care processes, medical terminology, and insurance procedures. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care coordination while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate medical documentation. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Duties Assist patients with DME product selection, insurance verification, and order processing to ensure timely delivery of necessary equipment. Communicate effectively with insurance providers to obtain authorizations, verify coverage, and resolve claim issues. Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation of patient interactions, prescriptions, and equipment details in compliance with HIPAA standards. Utilize CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9 (International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision), ICD-10 (Tenth Revision), and ICD coding systems for proper documentation and billing procedures. Coordinate with physicians and healthcare staff to schedule appointments, prepare documentation, and facilitate smooth administrative workflows. Manage incoming calls and correspondence professionally, providing clear information regarding insurance policies, billing inquiries, and product availability. Ensure all medical office procedures adhere to regulatory standards while supporting efficient office operations. Assist in training new staff on office protocols related to medical terminology, records management, and insurance processes. Experience Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred. Knowledge of managed care policies and familiarity with medical billing practices. Experience with medical coding systems such as CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding is essential. Prior Authorization experience prefered. Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements for safeguarding patient information. Proven ability to handle insurance verification processes efficiently and accurately. Strong background in medical office administration or customer service within healthcare settings. Excellent communication skills coupled with proficiency in medical terminology and records management.
