Dock Worker / Forklift Operator

Duties Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, pallet jacks, and mechanical lift trucks to load, unload, and move materials efficiently. Manage warehouse inventory through proper stacking, storage, and retrieval of goods in accordance with warehouse protocols. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting freight for damages, and ensuring proper documentation is completed. Conduct routine equipment maintenance checks on forklifts and other machinery to ensure safe operation and minimize downtime. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials handling activities, maintaining safety standards per OSHA guidelines, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve processes, and maintain a safe working environment through proper heavy lifting techniques and safety practices. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts (including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo) in a warehouse setting. Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, and materials handling. Prior warehouse experience involving heavy equipment operation and load/unload procedures is preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards relevant to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Strong basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Warehouse and dock experience will be considered an asset. Pay:

$16.50 - $18.50 per hour
