Job Description

Position Summary At Furever Friends, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for our four legged clients. As a Dog Care Associate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and enriching environment for the dogs in our care. This position requires a compassionate individual who is detail oriented, dependable, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast paced setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and supervise dogs in group play areas, always ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary facility, including indoor and outdoor areas, cleanup of pet waste required
  • Engage with dogs through active play, positive reinforcement, and basic training support
  • Administer food, water, and medications as directed, and document care updates in facility software
  • Utilize our scheduling and payment system to check pets in/out, process transactions, and manage customer accounts
  • Complete daily task checklists to maintain facility standards
  • Practice basic canine first aid as needed
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with clients and team members
  • Uphold all company policies and ensure adherence to safety procedures Qualifications
  • Genuine love for dogs and a desire to provide high quality care
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Patience, kindness, and confidence when managing dogs of various breeds and temperaments
  • Physically able to lift 40 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
