In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in our daycare facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all dogs while fostering positive interactions among them. This position is ideal for individuals who love animals and have experience in pet care or animal handling. Responsibilities Supervise dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Engage with dogs through play, exercise, and socialization to promote positive behavior. Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to management promptly. Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area, including regular cleaning of kennels, play areas, and equipment. Assist with feeding schedules and provide fresh water to all dogs throughout the day. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, needs, and any incidents that may occur. Support grooming activities as needed, including bathing. Help manage daily operations by assisting with check-ins and check-outs of pets. Experience The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following experiences: Dog training or handling experience to ensure effective interaction with various breeds. Veterinary technician or assistant experience to recognize health issues or emergencies. Pet grooming skills to maintain the appearance of dogs in our care. Experience in pet sitting or kennel work that demonstrates a commitment to animal welfare. Strong customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and enhance their experience. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for moving supplies or assisting larger breeds.
