Dog Groomer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our pet care team. We are looking for a part-time evening groomer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal grooming and handling, with experience in pet grooming, animal restraint, and customer service. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to dogs of all breeds and sizes, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. The Dog Groomer will also support overall pet care activities, contributing to a welcoming and professional environment for clients and their pets. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing of dogs according to client specifications Safely handle animals using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work areas Assess each pet's condition and behavior to determine appropriate grooming procedures Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during other animal care activities as needed Support pet care routines such as feeding, walking, etc. Keep detailed records of grooming services provided and any special instructions or concerns Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming required. Knowledge of dog training, veterinary procedures, or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and humanely Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs) Experience with pet sitting or animal care routines is advantageous Basic understanding of veterinary care practices related to grooming and animal health management Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience and attention to detail This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to animal well-being while developing your skills in pet grooming and care. This job is for an evening groomer. 3pm-8pm. Please be comfortable with late hours.
