Dog Groomer

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care and grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look their best while also maintaining their health and well-being. This role requires both technical grooming skills and a friendly demeanor to create a positive experience for pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs- must provide on grooming tools. Shop will supply space for tool box and grooming table along with washing station and dryers Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention along with supporting documentation. Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the pet and the groomer during grooming sessions. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs, recommendations, and aftercare. Handle pets with care, demonstrating compassion and understanding towards their needs during the grooming process. Assist in kennel duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and monitoring the behavior of pets in your care. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is required . Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques, including dog handling skills. Familiarity with pet care practices such as bathing, brushing, and general animal care. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or moving equipment. Experience as a veterinary technician or in a kennel environment is a plus but not mandatory.
