Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards A great passion for making every pet feel and look their best with compassion and kindness Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary Maintain a clean, organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures, aftercare instructions, and any concerns Assist with pet handling during grooming sessions, demonstrating gentle yet effective animal handling skills Support pet care routines such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and minor veterinary-related tasks when applicable Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of breed-specific styles and grooming techniques Strong dog handling skills Experience to manage different temperaments effectively Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and comfortably Knowledge of animal handling protocols across various species including dogs Strong communication skills, both written and verbal for interaction with pet parents and other team members.
