Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being; communicate any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as needed Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Provide excellent customer service by explaining grooming options, answering questions, and building positive relationships with pet owners Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring gentle yet effective control throughout the grooming process Support pet care routines such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and minor veterinary-related tasks when appropriate Experience Prior experience in pet grooming is Required Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus for understanding canine behavior and health needs Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances ability to recognize health issues during grooming Familiarity with animal restraint methods, kennel experience, and heavy lifting ensures safe handling of dogs of all sizes Strong customer service skills combined with animal care expertise create a positive environment for pets and owners alike Experience with pet sitting or animal care in shelters or kennels demonstrates dedication to animal well-being Join us if you're passionate about making dogs look great while providing compassionate care!
