Dog Kennel Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong background in managing pet services. This role requires excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to ensure the health and well-being of all animals in our care. The Kennel Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment while providing exceptional service to pet owners. Responsibilities Supervise daily kennel operations, manage scheduling and communicate with owner. Ensure all animals receive proper care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kennel facility to meet health standards. Monitor the health of animals, identifying any signs of illness or distress and coordinating veterinary care as needed. Manage customer interactions, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism. Oversee record-keeping for each animal, including vaccination records and behavioral notes. Coordinate pet training sessions and provide guidance on best practices for pet owners. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to animal care. Manage all phone systems, daily report cards and email systems Stock retail space, manage online and in person orders Experience Background as a Veterinary Technician, dog training, animal behavior or in Animal Care is highly desirable. Experience in dog grooming is a plus. Strong skills in animal handling and behavior management are essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with animal care. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, clients, and veterinarians. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is crucial for success in this role.
