Job Description

Shifts:
Saturday and Sunday 2:00pm - 10:30pm Company Overview Hope Valley Health & Wellness, is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health and addiction treatment. We serve our clients by focusing on evidence-based treatment and a person-centered approach. Summary We are seeking a passionate Peer Support/Recovery Advocate to join our team at Hope Valley Health & Wellness in Wasilla Alaska. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering transformative mental health care through evidence-based practices and holistic therapies.
Responsibilities:
Monitors clients by conducting safety checks. Monitors, logs and reports on client detox withdrawal symptoms and/or significant changes. Monitors and records client vital signs. Charts medication observations, shift notes and DAPs in EHR. Provides clients with education on medication, substance abuse education, healthy lifestyle, and sleep routines. Conducts medication pass by the observation of client self-administration of medication. Reports medication errors. Completes medication count each shift. Assists with medication destruction. Ensure adherence to facility rules. Completes incident reports as needed. Transports clients and pick up medication as needed. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience working with clients at various levels of care, with an emphasis on substance use disorder or mental health treatment preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Alaska driver's license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray. Knowledge of the requirements for providing services needed to clients. Experience in electronic charting preferred. Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team. Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills. $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
