In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, foster positive behavior, and promote community engagement. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a supportive environment where clients feel valued, respected, and motivated to achieve their goals. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day by supporting individuals in their daily routines and personal growth. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration when necessary. Support clients in developing life skills through behavioral health strategies and positive behavior management techniques. Facilitate communication using various methods, including American Sign Language if applicable, to ensure clients' needs are understood and met. Provide transportation and driving support for appointments, community outings, or errands to promote independence and social integration. Collect data on client progress, behavior patterns, and service delivery to inform care plans and support team decisions. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals such as social workers or special educators to coordinate care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health protocols, supporting behavioral health interventions, and responding appropriately during emergencies or behavioral incidents. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health strategies for supporting diverse needs. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, team members, and community partners. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in home or community settings. Familiarity with data collection methods related to client progress and behavior tracking. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transportation duties. Experience in medication administration, behavioral health support, or social work is highly desirable.
