Drafter & Designer, Office Furniture Supplies (OFS)
The Office Furniture Services (OFS) team is a specialized group that supports workspace planning and transformation through exceptional design, installation, and service of Apple's modular furniture systems.
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and customer-focused professional to join our team as an OFS Drafter/Designer to support and implement furniture design solutions across Apple facilities, ensuring space efficiency, functionality, and visual harmony. Description The OFS Drafter/Designer will play a key role in designing and coordinating office furniture layouts and installations across Apple sites. They will collaborate with requesters to develop workstation configurations, update layout records, support installations, and maintain product standards documentation. The role will report to the OFS Installation Supervisor. Responsibilities Contributes to an inclusive environment through respecting each others' differences and having the curiosity to learn. Foster and maintain excellent relationships with various stakeholders. Meet with internal clients to develop layout designs for workstations including offices, cubicles, and benching systems. Maintain accurate records of existing and proposed furniture layouts. Update and manage part numbers and product descriptions using common nomenclature. Coordinate with the Apple Project Management team and vendors on installations. Provide technical documentation and support for design, warehouse, and ergonomics teams. Assist in receiving and prioritizing incoming work requests and direct installation activities accordingly. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience working with modular furniture systems in a high-demand environment. Proficient in AutoCAD with an emphasis on detailed layout design. Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills. Technical training or equivalent work experience. Experience working on Mac and Microsoft Office platforms. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new workflows and technical details. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience coordinating with multiple vendors and stakeholders. Ability to maintain composure and clarity in a fast-paced, evolving work environment. Familiarity with Apple's internal processes and space planning tools is a plus. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $37.18 and $55.74/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
