Our integrated approach combines architecture, interior design, construction, and project management to create exceptional homes tailored to each client's lifestyle. We are seeking a talented Architectural Drafter/Designer to join our growing design team. This position offers the opportunity to participate in projects from initial concept development through permit approval and construction administration. Position Overview The Architectural Designer will support the design and documentation of custom residential projects ranging from additions and remodels to new custom homes. Working closely with Project Managers, Designers, Consultants, and Construction Teams, this individual will help transform conceptual ideas into buildable, permit-ready construction documents. The ideal candidate is both creative and technically proficient, with strong residential design experience and a passion for producing high-quality construction drawings. Key Responsibilities Design Development Assist in the development of residential design concepts and architectural solutions. Translate sketches, verbal direction, and conceptual ideas into detailed plans and 3D models. Participate in space planning, floor plan development, exterior design, and architectural detailing. Prepare presentation materials, renderings, and design studies as required. Construction Documentation Produce complete and accurate construction documents for permit submission and construction.

Site plans Floor plans Roof plans Elevations Building sections Construction details Electrical and lighting plans Coordinate drawing sets through all project phases. Permit & Consultant Coordination Coordinate architectural documents with: Structural Engineers Civil Engineers Surveyors Energy Consultants Geotechnical Consultants Support permit submittals and respond to agency plan check comments. Assist in maintaining project schedules and documentation requirements. Construction Support Provide drawing revisions and clarifications during construction. Coordinate with Project Managers and field personnel regarding design intent and constructability. Participate in project meetings as required. Qualifications Required Associate degree or bachelor's degree in architecture, Drafting, Design, or related field. 3+ years of residential architectural design or drafting experience. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of BIM modeling. Understanding of residential construction methods and building systems. Ability to interpret and produce detailed construction documents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Experience with Chief Architect, Revit, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling software. Familiarity with California Building and Residential Code as well as local permitting processes. Experience preparing permit submittal packages. Knowledge of Title 24 documentation and consultant coordination. Rendering and visualization experience. Landscape design knowledge is a plus.
