Drafting Specialist

We are looking for a Draftsman/Designer for a custom home builder in Lakeland, FL. Must have CAD experience.

Responsibilities include:

1. Design and provide complete/precise plans, which contain the guidelines and technical details of the structure that is to be built to reflect feature and specification changes, with an emphasis on value engineering. 2. Coordinate with the President, Sales Staff, Project Managers, and other professionals in producing complete plans and detailed drawings for the structure being built. 3. Problem solve to come up with solutions to any potential or existing issues pertaining to the plan or project. 4. Have a good working knowledge of building codes, site requirements, and drainage requirements to better determine any impact on the building or site plans. 5. Attend meetings between Sales Staff and/or customers, take detailed notes, and develop plan updates/changes then communicate updates to appropriate party as directed. 6. Keep an up-to-date log as to where each project is pertaining to the project/customer plan development cycle. 7. Take initiative to stay up to date with new products, design techniques, and software as they pertain to your role.
