Service Writer

We are currently seeking a dependable, adaptable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer . In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department by coordinating communication between customers, technicians, vendors, and internal departments. This position averages 45-50 hours per week , and flexibility is required to complete the tasks at hand. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service Prepare accurate estimates for equipment repairs and maintenance recommendations Create service and warranty work orders Schedule service appointments and manage technician workflow Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service needs for technicians Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs Maintain a professional and positive attitude while handling customer inquiries and concerns Follow up with vendors regarding warranty claims and approvals Assist with dispatching service technicians as needed Work closely with the parts department to ensure proper parts availability for service projects Communicate repair updates and service recommendations to customers Qualifications Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, crushing and screening equipment, semi-trucks, and trailer repairs and maintenance Previous experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or related role preferred Ability to upsell maintenance and service recommendations Creative, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with heavy equipment terminology and vehicle systems preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Benefits Competitive pay Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive and collaborative company culture Professional development opportunities 401(k) Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Paid Time Off Positive work environment And more!
