Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Drill Operator and Locator, where you will be at the forefront of construction and infrastructure projects. In this energetic role, you will operate heavy equipment, precisely locate underground utilities, and ensure safe, efficient drilling operations. Your expertise will help lay the groundwork for essential projects, contributing to community development and infrastructure growth. Duties Operate drilling equipment such as horizontal drills, excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks to perform various construction tasks. Locate underground utilities using specialized tools and techniques to prevent damage during excavation or drilling activities. Conduct pre-operation inspections of heavy machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance. Assist with site preparation by moving materials, grading surfaces, and setting up equipment for drilling projects. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites. Collaborate with team members to coordinate project activities efficiently and meet project timelines. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, site conditions, and utility locations for project documentation. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks. Experience operating construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment and other heavy-duty vehicles. Skilled in underground utility location techniques using modern detection tools. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving excavators, tankers, paving machines, or similar heavy equipment. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, paving, horizontal drilling, and water management operations. Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments. Ability to interpret technical drawings and project plans related to construction layouts.
