Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. This position involves transporting equipment, parts, inventory, and other merchandise between locations. This is a site-based role in Whippany, NJ. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. Responsibilities Plan and complete assigned delivery tasks for the day. Communicate with the next shift driver and report to the supervisor about incomplete or ongoing tasks to ensure smooth operations.

• Load delivery vehicle efficiently and safely, ensuring secure storage of materials to avoid damage.
• Deliver goods to the correct addresses and notify recipients of delivery completion.
• Maintain logs for truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Monitor truck maintenance and report any issues to the supervisor, ensuring service is arranged per the truck's schedule.
• Ensure truck has sufficient fuel for the next shift.
• Assist with general warehouse duties after completing delivery route.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. 1-2 years of experience driving large vehicles or box trucks.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to drive safely and use navigation tools (GPS, smartphone apps, maps). Ability to plan efficient delivery routes. Ability to maintain basic logs and records. Capable of following instructions without constant supervision. Must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to load and unload packages with and without dollies in varying weather conditions. Pre-Employment Requirements Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle record (MVR) check as part of the hiring process.
