Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers to deliver freight efficiently and on time. Your expertise in commercial driving, route management, and vehicle handling will ensure smooth logistics operations. Duties Operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, with precision and safety. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Drive on designated routes, adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations to ensure timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and route details in compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transportation processes to prevent accidents or damage. Experience Proven experience as a professional driver with a focus on freight delivery; previous truck driving experience preferred. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission vehicles; experience operating manual transmission is essential. Familiarity with different types of trucks including flatbed, refrigerated trailer, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off truck. Knowledge of load securement techniques for various freight types and familiarity with load & unload procedures. Experience in route driving across diverse terrains and urban environments while maintaining punctuality. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance.
