GENERAL SUMMARY

Drives truck over established, assigned routes to deliver beer and other beverages. Unloads, stocks, and rotates product in stores and other retail establishments. Interacts with customers to take any additional orders or to answer any questions/complaints. Completes all the necessary delivery paperwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures regular and punctual attendance. Completes thorough Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Vehicle inspections and logs into the ELD (Electronic Logging Device) daily. Uses the ELD to submit any equipment damage or malfunctions for repair. Reviews truck load sheet to ensure no loading errors have occurred. Drives truck to deliver products to assigned accounts in a safe manner and obeys all Florida and DOT laws. Unloads beer from the truck using appropriate equipment, depending on the type of delivery truck. Verifies unloaded orders against the invoice before delivery to ensure accuracy. Uses Handheld device to prepare invoices, enter payments, look up account balances, input over, short, or missing checks and payments, for each stop on assigned route. Uses Handheld device to remove missing or damaged products from invoices and issues credits for any empty kegs or dunnage picked up. Collects payment from customers, and records transactions on customer receipt. Obtains customer signatures on receipts for deliveries. Places deliveries in coolers and builds in-store displays when required. Rotates product during deliveries to ensure all products are in code and fresh. Fills racks when delivering to off-premise accounts. Settles all invoices, DSD's, and payments, collected during deliveries, at the end of each day. Collects damaged or out-of-date products from accounts for return to the warehouse for credit with necessary documentation. Verifies, with warehouse personnel, all products on the truck at end of day that were returned, refused, or damaged. Completes all necessary paperwork. Checks in truck at the end of the day and ensures the inside of truck and trailer is clean. Communicates with Merchandisers, Sales Representatives, and other vendors to successfully complete the delivery of products. Listens to and resolves customer complaints. Escalates difficult complaints to a Delivery Manager when necessary. Reports all incidents/ accidents involving employees and/ or company equipment to management in a timely manner. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards. Reports to management, HR, or Safety any off duty incidents that may affect the driver's ability to lawfully work or drive, such as arrests, DUI's, accumulated points on a license, or suspension of driving privileges. Maintains a current DOT medical card. Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Works overtime when required.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Informs regular customers of new products or services. Assists with loading truck when needed. Safely moves, transports, delivers, and positions large point-of-sale (POS) equipment, including but not limited to refrigerators, beer tubs, related assets, using proper material-handling techniques and equipment.
