Job Description

About us Greene Treatment Center is an addiction treatment program in Carmichaels, PA. At GTC the environment is fast paced, collabitive, and open to change. Our goal is to help individuals navigate through the process of substance use recovery through the use of medication assisted treatment.
Our work environment includes:
A relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training Professional Setting ```Job Overview``` We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will provide clinical counseling services to individuals, specializing in addiction counseling. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and help them navigate through challenging situations. ```Duties``` Picking up clients from various programs or locations and bring them to the treatment facility Bring patients back and forth to various medical appointments in the community Complete various errands to pick up supplies or what needed as per supervisor direction Quickly reacts and takes the lead during emergency situations concerning clients (i.e., behavioral, weather conditions, overdose, medical, violence etc.) and adheres to emergency preparedness and response procedures of the organization to ensure safety of all involved Completes an incident report within 24 hours and notifies supervisor of the incident immediately Utilizes calendars for communication of concerns and comments Understands and respects the rights of each individual, maintains confidentiality of each individual and demonstrating impeccable ethical behaviors • ```Requirements``` Must be at least 18 years of age Must have valid driver license and clean driver record Current car insurance Must be CPR/First Aid Certified (can complete upon hire) Preferred prior experience working with substance abuse population, but not required Must have a strong ability to effectively and assertively communicate Maintains communications in a professional manner Must submit to a pre-employment, random, and for cause drug screens upon request Will have access to a GTC vehicle for day‐to day job performance due to picking up and dropping off patients for admission, appointments and running other errands Must pass a criminal background check as well as a child abuse history clearance Must be of high moral character and unconditionally trustworthy Must have patience, good judgment, reading and writing skills Must maintain a high level of dependability including attendance at work and punctuality Have a high school diploma/GED or higher Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work Ability to adhere to the professional code of ethics. Maintain information regarding clients and other employees according to Confidential laws 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA regulations and the organization policies Uses, maintains, and safeguards vehicle and equipment as per manufactory recommendations and organization policies Ability to work as part of a comprehensive service and health orientated team Must be of high moral character and unconditionally trustworthy Attend the organization staff meetings and trainings If you are passionate about helping others and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to hear from you.
