Phlebotomy Technician Location:

Durango, CO Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and professional individual to join our team as a Drug & Alcohol Test Collector , phlebotomy experience is a plus . This position is responsible for performing DOT and non-DOT specimen collections at our permanent collection site and at client locations as needed, in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, industry best practices, and company policies. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, strict attention to compliance, and the ability to represent our company professionally in a variety of workplace environments. Responsibilities Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol specimen collections (urine, oral fluid, breath alcohol, hair), following all applicable federal regulations, industry standards, and company procedures. Perform phlebotomy and blood specimen collection for clinical and wellness testing, as applicable (training provided if needed). Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, donors, and coworkers. Follow client-specific drug and alcohol testing programs and protocols. Accurately complete all required chain-of-custody forms, records, and documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve collection issues at the testing site in accordance with regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant collection environment. Work assigned schedules and comply with company timekeeping policies. Travel to client sites for on-site/mobile collections as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support company growth and operations. Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Phlebotomy experience or certification is a plus. Prior experience as a drug and alcohol test collector is preferred; training and certification can be provided for the right candidate. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Comfortable handling urine, oral fluid, breath alcohol, hair, and blood specimens while following strict protocols. Confident interacting with donors, supervisors, HR personnel, and company owners in industries such as trucking, construction, and local government. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills. Basic computer skills, including experience with multiple software systems; CRM experience is a plus. Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, automobile insurance, and clean driving record required.
