In this role, you will inspire students of all ages by teaching rhythmic percussion techniques, developing engaging curricula, and fostering a love for drumming and musical creativity. As a key contributor, you will also craft custom drum bits—unique percussion tools and accessories—that enhance musical performances and educational experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine musical artistry with educational excellence, empowering learners to discover their rhythm and express themselves confidently. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive drum curriculum tailored to diverse skill levels, from beginner to advanced students. Deliver engaging, energetic drum lessons that incorporate various styles such as jazz, rock, classical, and contemporary genres. Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a positive, inclusive space that encourages creativity and active participation. Tutor students individually or in groups, providing personalized feedback to support their musical growth. Develop innovative drum bits—custom percussion accessories—by selecting materials, shaping sounds, and refining designs for optimal performance. Collaborate with students on projects that integrate photography, theater, dance, or other artistic disciplines to enrich their learning experience. Maintain detailed lesson plans, progress reports, and student records to track development and tailor future instruction accordingly. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching drumming or percussion instruments across various age groups and skill levels. Strong background in curriculum development with the ability to create structured lesson plans that promote skill acquisition and artistic expression. Classroom management skills that foster discipline while encouraging creativity and exploration. Experience working with children, early childhood education, preschool settings, or special education environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques to support diverse learners. Additional skills in photography, ballet, cooking, sewing, or theater are considered a plus for integrating multidisciplinary approaches into lessons. Ability to work collaboratively with students and colleagues to create inspiring educational experiences.
