Job Goal:
To create an activities program favorable to student learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students, families, and collaborative peers; to guide all students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for students to succeed in college, career, and civic life; to dedicate oneself to realizing the vision and mission of the district while conducting the work in accordance with the district core values.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Holds organizational meetings for group prospects and encourages potential members to participate in the group/program. 2. Develops a regular practice or meeting schedule. 3. Works with the activities director in scheduling facilities for practices, meetings and competitions. 4. Assigns duties to an assistants as necessary. 5. Coaches and instructs participants, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the activity. 6. Works with activities director and business manager to conduct all fundraising activities in accordance with district protocol. 7. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior and provides proper supervision of participants at all times. 8. Monitors the academic performance of group members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met; and encourages participants to maintain a high academic standard.. 9. Conferences with parents/guardians, as necessary. 10. Follows state, regional, and district regulations governing the program. 11. Models appropriate behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards participants, officials, and spectators. 12. Acts as a program/group representative and promotes the program/group by communicating with the news media, booster clubs, service clubs, and other organizations. 13. Follows established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment and supplies.. 14. Maintains eligibility forms, emergency data cards, insurance records, equipment inventory, and other related records. 15. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. 16.
