Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and become a vital part of enriching the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and those needing specialized care. In this rewarding role, you will provide compassionate assistance, promote independence, and ensure safety and well-being through personalized support. Your energy and commitment will help create a positive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status and report any concerns promptly Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies, ensuring a safe and comforting environment Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas Engage residents in social activities, behavioral management techniques, and community outings to foster socialization and independence Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas Requirements Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire Experience working with residents with Alzheimer's disease or dementia is advantageous Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transportation duties if required Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving and resident interaction Join us in making a meaningful difference!
