This role is part of the Advanced Solutions Group which designs electronics for state-of-the-art sensing and processing systems. Key responsibilities include digital systems definition; design, simulation, and verification of digital circuits; board-level designs; and implementation of high-speed digital signal processing in FPGAs. Additional duties include conducting signal-integrity and timing analyses, developing power budgets and supporting designs through production, testing and operational deployment. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of systems, electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, software and firmware engineers, as well as manufacturing, quality assurance and test personnel supporting space and airborne systems. Required qualifications include a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 1-2+ years of relevant experience; however, ATC is willing to train a motivated candidate with strong fundamentals. Experience with high-speed FPGA designs ( >250 MHz), digital signal processing (e.g. filters, algorithms, etc.), single-event effects (SEE) mitigation, and HDL-based simulation, synthesis and hardware integration is highly desirable.
