Early Childhood Associate

Early Childhood Associate TeachIowa Packwood, IA 52580 Full-time Full-time Pekin Community Schools is seeking a compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic individual to serve as a Preschool Classroom Associate. This role is an essential part of the preschool classroom, supporting both the teacher and students while helping create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning enviroment.

Responsibilities:

Assist the preschool teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities Support children's social, emotional, and academic development Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, recess, and rest time Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions Assist with classroom preparation, setup, and cleanup Communicate effectively with staff and follow school policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Experience working with young children preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Patient, nurturing, and attentive to children's needs Ability to follow direction and take initiative when needed Dependable and punctual

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds Comfortable working on the floor and actively engaging with children

Required Qualifications:

Must have high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates Degree or Paraprofessional Certification.
