Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Ed Tech Mountain Valley Community School is seeking (2) caring, patient, and energetic Ed Tech III's to join our Pre-K team. This role supports our youngest learners as they build foundational skills in early literacy, social-emotional development, communication, and school readiness. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children, understands the importance of structure and routine, and is committed to helping students grow in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment. About the Role The Educational Technician III will work closely with the Pre-K teacher to support individual students, small groups, and whole-class learning activities. This includes assisting with instruction, supporting behavior and routines, and helping create a safe, engaging, and welcoming classroom environment. What We Are Looking For The successful candidate will: Have the proper certification and fingerprint screening Demonstrate warmth, patience, and genuine enjoyment of young children Support students in developing early academic and social-emotional skills Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and related service providers Help implement classroom routines, structure, and expectations with consistency Support positive behavior through proactive, calm, and supportive strategies Communicate respectfully and effectively with staff and students Maintain a flexible mindset in a dynamic early childhood classroom environment Follow directions with reliability and consistency Contribute to a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning space Preferred Experience Experience working with young children (Pre-K, childcare, Head Start, or early elementary preferred) Training or experience in early childhood education or child development Familiarity with supporting social-emotional learning and positive behavior supports Ability to support students with a range of developmental needs Why This Role Matters This position plays an essential role in helping our youngest learners develop the skills, confidence, and routines they need to be successful in school.
