Position Overview:
Lake George is one of the clearest and cleanest lakes in the world, a testament to decades of protection led by the Lake George Association. The Lake George Association (LGA) is seeking a passionate and collaborative Education for Action Manager to lead environmental education and community engagement initiatives that inspire stewardship and mobilize action to protect Lake George. This position plays a central role in translating science into engaging, actionable learning experiences for residents, schools, visitors, businesses, municipalities, and community partners. Working closely across LGA's Science, Advocacy, Solutions, Partnerships and Communications teams, the Education for Action Manager develops and implements programs that deepen understanding of freshwater protection and empower people to take meaningful action on behalf of Lake George. The role combines environmental education, project management, curriculum development, staff leadership, and community outreach. The Education for Action Manager is expected to develop and advance educational initiatives that align with LGA's science-informed, systems-based approach to protecting Lake George water quality and clarity, with a focus on programming that can drive meaningful community understanding, stewardship, and long-term impact. The position also oversees LGA's Floating Classroom educational programming and supervises seasonal educators and vessel staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting people to place, science and conservation through engaging educational experiences both on and off the water.
