Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Resort Operations Manager to support the daily operations of a seasonal lakefront resort in the Lake George area. This role is ideal for someone with hospitality experience who enjoys working with guests, supporting staff, staying organized, and ensuring the property runs smoothly during a busy resort season. The Assistant Resort Operations Manager will work closely with ownership and management to support front desk operations, housekeeping communication, guest services, property checks, arrivals, departures, and overall daily resort flow.
Responsibilities:
  • Support daily resort operations to ensure a smooth and positive guest experience
  • Assist with front desk operations, guest check-ins, check-outs, phone calls, emails, and reservation questions.
  • Prepare registration packets, arrival paperwork, parking passes, keys, and guest information.
  • Complete confirmation calls for upcoming arrivals and document guest arrival details
  • Walk the property regularly to ensure public areas, beach, pool, grounds, and guest spaces are clean, safe, and guest-ready.
  • Monitor public areas throughout the day, including trash areas, walkways, and fire pit areas.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready by the guaranteed check-in time.
  • Communicate maintenance issues clearly and follow up to ensure they are addressed.
  • Monitor guest requests, special notes, late arrivals, and operational needs.
  • Assist with staff communication and shift pass-on notes.
  • Keep the front office clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready.
  • Respond to guest concerns in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Support busy check-in/check-out days and peak summer turnover days.
  • Follow resort policies and ensure staff and guests adhere to property guidelines.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding guest issues, maintenance, and staffing needs.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Prior hotel, resort, front desk, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience is a plus.
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-focused.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced seasonal resort environment.
  • Comfortable communicating with guests, staff, housekeeping, and management.
  • Willing to be hands-on and help wherever needed.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to lead by example.
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, and peak summer periods.
  • Experience with hotel reservation systems is helpful but not required.
Schedule:
  • Seasonal position.
  • Full-time hours during the resort operating season.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required.
  • Schedule may vary based on occupancy, staffing, and business needs.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
