Position Summary :

An Education Services Manager will assist in the development of policy and procedures and training for area Head Start services throughout our five county service area.

Job duties and details:

Evaluates the effectiveness of programs and its staff by periodically completing CLASS and ECERS observation tools as well as assigned monitoring functions on the agency data tracking system (COPA) Plans the early childhood education program along with other staff, parents and component specialists, and supervises the implementation of planned activities in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. Monitoring of educational activities which includes periodic on-site observation of classroom environments, curriculum, screening, and assessment. Supports teaching teams through a Mentor-Coaching model that strengthens their understanding of job responsibilities and developmentally appropriate practice. Routinely inspects center facilities for health, safety, fire, and occupancy compliance with rules and regulations and takes necessary corrective action when violations occur.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education required. Ability to prepare and teach meaningful education principles and practices to adults with varying education and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ability to travel to classrooms in a five county area and monitor teaching staff to assure the effective implementation of early childhood principles. Strong interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to: professional appearance, communication orally and in written form, listening, time management, punctuality, and dependability. Valid driver's license and some travel required Hire subject to Head Start policies on background check and drug screening Starting Wage $19.94 per hour Benefits
