Part-time Upward Bound Core Instructor (Summer Only)

The Upward Bound Core Instructor will report to the Project Director and Project Coordinator and serve as a liaison for program participants and project personnel. The Upward Bound Summer Core Instructor will conduct instruction in subject area through printed and hands on assignments that enhance participant learning.

Works Hours:

Varies, up to 19 per week. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and must submit a complete application packet through the on-line application system to be considered. Assist with the time/attendance records for instruction sessions. 4. Provide documentation of core subject content taught in instruction sessions. 5. Perform other functions as assigned by Project Director and Project Coordinator essential for the improvement of participant academic performance.

EXPERIENCE 1. A

minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the subject area is required . 2. A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching the subject area is required.

Ability to work and communicate with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds 11. Ability to make decisions based on correspondence, data or other information. 12. Ability to utilize email systems to communicate information. 13. Ability to work with minimal supervision/work independently. 14. Ability to operate in a professional manner at all times. 15.Ability to comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and Bevill State Community College.
