An Adult Basic Education or Literacy Instructor works with adults, including young adults who are out of school, to improve literacy and strengthen basic skills in reading, writing and math. Helps students to learn English or gain a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Assesses students' educational levels, skills and goals, and differentiates instruction as needed for adults at different levels in one class. May focus on basic skills as needed for a particular occupation, or assist students with developing study skills or job search skills, or help students connect with social services.

Lemon Grove, CA Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications RBT Certification English Driver's License Seeing patients as a registered behavior technician Full Job Description Our adult day program, The Link Center Day Program, serves developmentally disabled individuals who are in the process of acquiring self-help skills and offer a variety of services to the individual based on his/her levels of need. We are looking for one Day Program Instructor to work Monday-Friday part time, may possibly turn full time in the future. The Adult Day Program Instructor is responsible for the following; Implementation of behavioral programs, instructional programs and assigning individuals with their daily activities. Participate and assist individuals with their daily activities. Collect ISP and behavioral data daily and document onto Therap in preparation for quarterly, semi and annual reports. Assist individuals with personal hygiene. Work with individuals who may become aggressive towards themselves or others. Transport clients in company vehicle. Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience:
CPR First Aid Clearance in DSS Guardian website
Professional Assault Crisis Training:
Pro-ACT Registered Behavior Technician Transporting clients to and from
Day Program Qualifications:
18 years of age or older Registered Behavior Technician 40-Hour Training (required for this position) Minimum 6 months experience working in a day program Ability to communicate verbally in English with client Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including but not limited to; walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 50 pounds or less repeatedly during a shift Must clear pre-employment physical and Department of Social Services background check. California Driver's License and clean driving record
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Application Question(s): Have you completed 40-hours of RBT Training? How many years of experience working in an Adult Day Program/Center? How many years of experience transporting clients to and from Day Program?
