Job Description

Experienced HVAC Technician for Instructor Position (Part-Time) Turn your industry experience into a lasting impact. Are you an experienced HVAC technician looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? Okaloosa Technical College is seeking skilled professionals to train, mentor, and inspire the next generation of HVAC technicians. No prior teaching experience or college degree is required. If you have real-world HVAC experience and a desire to mentor others, we'd love to hear from you.
POSITION OVERVIEW
• As a part-time HVAC Instructor, you'll bring your field experience into the classroom and lab, helping students gain the practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in the HVAC industry. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to give back to the trade while enjoying a flexible schedule and meaningful work. Daytime and evening positions are available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver hands-on HVAC-R training in classroom and lab settings Demonstrate industry-standard installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques Mentor and motivate students as they develop technical and professional skills Promote a safe and engaging learning environment Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback Help prepare students for successful careers in the HVAC field
QUALIFICATIONS HVAC
industry experience (residential and commercial required) Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment Effective communication and interpersonal skills Passion for mentoring and helping others succeed Commitment to workplace and laboratory safety No college degree required No teaching experience required
