•Casual Hire Description •Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire appointments, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits provided to regular Board of Regents or Civil Service employees. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Temporary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with creating, documenting and maintaining curriculum and student support resources for the Ulu Kini grant. Work closely with other Ulu Kini key personnel and assist with all grant activities. Assist with grant procurement including but not limited to budget, reporting, etc. Prepare program reports, budgets, or program requests, keep track of expenditure of funds relating to Indigenous Repository and prepare reports relating to the grant. Works closely with Project Director and other Hawaii CC personnel associated with the Ulu Kini grant. Direct and/or supervise grant-related personnel. Perform campus-related activities; participate in department, college and community services as appropriate, and in service training. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
BA in Hawaiian Studies, Liberal Arts, Social Science, Communication and at least 3 years of experience with student services activities, training with Hawaiian cultural and language focus and/or experience in higher education; or equivalent education/training or experience.
