Pickleball Instructor

The Sun Valley Tennis & Pickleball Center has summer openings for Pickleball Instructors . Our instructors will help promote, teach, and coordinate adult in-house leagues and pickleball socials. They will also provide group and individual lessons. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides group and individual pickleball lessons as assigned Help promote, teach, and coordinate adult in-house leagues and pickleball socials Communicate with the director to schedule and publicize club pickleball events Assists with special pickleball events and tournaments Administrative work includes purchasing trophies for special events, recording court reservations and lesson appointments, answering the phone in the Pro Shop, and invoicing member purchases Supervises other pickleball staff, including Pro Shop salespersons, adult mixers, and other events Occasionally writes pickleball articles for the club newsletter and website Manages inventory of Pro Shop; interacts with purchase personnel to acquire merchandise for resale Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

An undergraduate major in Physical Education or Sports Management is desirable Collegiate or High School team experience is desirable, preferably with a 4.5 or above rating Two to three years of competitive playing experience and/or pickleball supervisory experience Experience running or teaching junior development programs Knowledge of court maintenance Able to promote and teach private and group lessons to juniors and adults Flexibility to work weekends and holidays Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
