To Be Determined Job Description Indiana Adult Education Career Coach's work in making an impact on the communities we serve by providing the expertise, tools, and resources our students need to build their brand and their careers. We are seeking talented individuals who will be a part of our efforts to effectively provide employment and training services. This position requires you to have experience in understanding the hiring landscape of a particular region via workforce initiatives and local labor market research. Responsibilities for the Adult Education Career Coach include but are not limited to: Increase college and career options for students by implementing key strategies that align with the
Department of Workforce Development:
. Career Coach's work with individuals that are looking to find jobs or go into training, helping them define goals, work through barriers, and provide work readiness training Promoting all training opportunities for students in your Region. Develop implementation plans that align with the Indiana Career Explorer Platform Holding each Adult Ed student accountable toward their training and/or employment goals. The Career Coach will work with adult education students and assist them into career, training, and post-secondary opportunities Providing employment/training assistance to students in an Adult Ed Center, this includes: Understanding the nuances of adult education Career Coaching policies, communicate with stakeholders to build partnerships that support the Adult Ed. Career Coaching efforts. Conducting ongoing college access workshops for all grade levels that advises students about college and career opportunities Connects with students, helps create plans to diminish barriers, assists in creating a career pathway, helps connect students to community resources and employers, blanket work readiness to classes Bridging gaps between Employers, Colleges and WorkOnes, especially through the Indiana Career Explorer platform.
This includes:
Working with partners to increase the number of enrollments in employment, training, and/or post-secondary institutions. Assist the region in identifying certification programs and providers available in the region Ensuring that adult education providers and WorkOnes are communicating and the referral and possible employment process between AE and the WorkOnes are seamless. Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in Career Coaching in education, workforce development and/or government-related project management required; Knowledge of Adult Education, WIOA Title I and II funding Demonstrated understanding and skill in professional and organizational development. Experience and ability with facilitating group decision-making and team-building; Demonstrated capacity to analyze data, evaluate data for meaning and interpret the results Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with policymakers and stakeholders; Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Work Schedule Part time Monday through Saturday, times vary, as negotiated by Director/Principal through June 30, 2027 grant period only Salary and Benefits
Payment Type:
$25/hour, no benefits.
