Sep 1, 2026 Job Description The Adult Education Program is seeking for a Part-Time Evening GED/HiSET Math and Science Teacher. The GED/HiSET Math & Science Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction to adult learners preparing for the GED and/or HiSET examination at the Grade Level Equivalency 9-10 level. Instruction is delivered in a hyflex model, with students participating simultaneously in person and remotely. The teacher is expected to create an engaging, supportive, and academically rigorous learning environment that develops mathematical reasoning, scientific literacy, digital skills, and college and career readiness. Teachers will accomplish this by evaluating student progress, adjusting instruction when necessary, and drawing upon professional knowledge, research and standards to respond to the needs of students within their classroom. Teachers will work together with the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction and advisors to optimize student progress towards academic goals.
