Reporting to the Adult Education & Workforce Development Manager, this role supports student retention and enrollment, assists with testing-day operations, monitors attendance, instructs computer literacy, and holds space for open computer lab hours to help students build the skills needed to complete the GED® test. Because we are a small organization, team members work collaboratively, and this position may be asked to perform basic coverage as needed. Position Duties Instruct computer literacy sessions and host/maintain space for open computer lab hours. Provide individualized and group assistance with basic computer literacy skills required for GED® test preparation and completion. Help students navigate computers, email, web browsers, online learning platforms, and testing-related technology. Support student retention through consistent communication, timely follow-up, and early identification of barriers to participation. Call prospective and current students about enrollment, orientation, program participation, and next steps. Assist with student enrollment, intake, and required documentation completion. Follow up with students regarding absences, missed appointments, and declining participation. Assist with testing day preparation and activities, including welcoming students, providing directions, and helping ensure a smooth testing experience. Provide basic coverage and operational support as needed within a small organization environment. Collaborate with instructors and program staff to address student needs and promote successful outcomes. Qualifications AA required. Extensive experience may serve as a substitute for this requirement. Experience in student support, customer service, education, workforce development, case management, or a related area. Basic computer skills, with the ability to teach, instruct, or assist others with common computer tasks. Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to work effectively with adult learners from diverse backgrounds. Flexibility and willingness to assist with basic coverage and general duties as part of a small team. Ability to maintain accurate records and safeguard confidential information. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Patience, professionalism, and a commitment to student success. Preferred Qualifications Experience in adult education or GED® programming. Familiarity with student information or attendance-tracking systems. Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
