Posting Details Position Summary Information Position Title Coordinator, High School Equivalency Testing & Correctional Programs Position Type Full Time Regular Annual Schedule 12 months Expected Work Schedule Variable Anticipated Days Monday - Friday Anticipated Hours 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to include one night per week and occasional overtime Anticipated Hours per Week 40 Work Location A-B Tech Main Campus Job Description Summary Manages high school equivalency testing (GED® and HiSet™) for the department of Transitional Studies, as well as instructional programming in correctional facilities. This includes oversight of test security, student records, instructional staff at correctional sites, and the development of educational classes and pathways within those facilities. Partners with justice agencies to expand access to educational opportunities and support reentry. Provides seamless transition support to academic advising and next-step planning for individuals who complete high school equivalency testing. Duties 1. Establishes GED® and HiSet™ testing schedules; administers tests and/or oversees testing in accordance with the vendors' guidelines. Qualifies main campus and satellite sites with test vendors; orders and securely stores all test materials; communicates with vendor specific staff to ensure proper administration and reporting of all test activity. 2. Coordinates adult basic education and adult secondary education classes at state prisons, local jails, and detention centers. Maintains professional collaborative relationships with staff at each facility. Hires, trains, and supervises faculty for classes. Ensures instructors' contracts, time sheets, and student sign-in sheets and testing records are accurate and processed. Implements the WIOA Title II 225 grant plan, improving credential attainment and re-entry services for students. 3. Maintains orderly and accurate records; provides records to DiplomaSender.com, NCCCS, and former graduates as needed. Supports student scholarships; collects and processes scholarship applications for HSE testing fees, issues vouchers for practice tests, etc. Submits timely reports to Director and Coordinator of Data Management & Adult Secondary Education. 4. In collaboration with the Coordinator of Education Navigation and the Coordinator of Data Management and ASE, facilitates post-assessment support by ensuring students who complete testing are connected with academic advising, career services, or appropriate next-step enrollment guidance to support their continued educational and career goals. 5. Takes the lead in planning and overseeing High School Equivalency and Adult High School graduation ceremonies, in collaboration with the Director and with support from Adult Secondary Education staff as needed. 6. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement. 7. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects. 8. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements) 1. Bachelor's Degree 2. One year of full-time or equivalent experience managing records or information (e.g., student records, personnel records, performance metrics or budget info for grants, SOPs, legal documents, etc.). 3.
