Position Summary Information Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree General Summary Is responsible for day-to-day operation of the Adult Education classes in Hall,

Hamilton, Howard and Merrick counties. Will plan, coordinate, and facilitate English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education and Adult Secondary Education/General Educational Development (GED®) classes.

Essential Functions Essential Functions Ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of the local AE program, including ordering

office supplies, creating calendars, and room scheduling.

Essential Functions Responsible for intake, enrollment, and orientation processes for Grand Island students. Readily available to assist teachers as needed.

Essential Functions Maintains accurate and timely records and confidentiality of student progress.

Completes student enrollment and attendance verification to outside agencies

Essential Functions Tracks and ensures all NDE-mandated pre- and post-testing of AE students is

completed using approved testing program

Essential Functions Collaborates with Grand Island Campus personnel, including Library staff (use of

space for studying, use of computers by students), the Writing Coach (assisting students with writing assignments), TRIO (collaborating on potential credit-course students), Admissions (establishing student campus tours), and Academic Success Center (assisting with shared students).

Essential Functions Will ensure successful transition of adult learners under the requirements of the

Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act - Nebraska and the Nebraska Adult Education State office.

Essential Functions Establishes and maintains external networks/partnerships with various public and

private agencies including the American Job Center, and organizations to support objectives. Represents CCC at Heartland United Way meetings and events.

Essential Functions Manages the onboarding, job performance, and approves timeclock for part-

time employees on the Grand Island campus.

Essential Functions Schedules and develops onsite educational classes using approved programs for high school diploma acquisition, ESL, writing using the English language and computer usage/applications for multiple employment shifts and learning levels.

Essential Functions Coordinates with Admissions and other CCC programs on student enrollments.
