To assist the Parent and Family Engagement Program in providing specialized job ready skills to other parents.QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree or higher Valid Texas Educator CertificateSpecial Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to communicate orally in both English and Spanish. Familiar with all areas of McAllen and must have reliable transportation at all times. Knowledge of parent involvement program.Experience:
Skills necessary to present particular job skills instruction in sewing, cake decorating, floral design, Cricut machine, arts & crafts or any other specified skill needed.Workdays:

BiweeklyMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plan and conduct appropriate activities with parents for the job skill-ready instruction. Maintain up-to-date documentation and keep information confidential on all participants. Maintain class roster for each of the sessions provided. Work closely with other Federal programs staff, Parent Involvement Clerk in a team effort to ensure program services are rendered. Plan and prepare to ensure supplies/materials are ready for each class. Submit documentation for each completed class and provide participants with certificates. Follow McAllen ISD customer service standards. Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator) in accordance with funding source guidelines.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
