Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Postpartum Doula to join our team as an independent contractor and provide vital support to new families during the postpartum period. In this role, you will offer physical, emotional, and educational assistance to mothers and their families as they navigate the early stages of parenthood. Your expertise will help promote recovery, foster confidence, and ensure a smooth transition into family life. Responsibilities Provide non-judgmental hands-on care and support for mothers recovering from childbirth, including assistance with breastfeeding, infant care, and maternal mental health Monitor physical recovery and emotional well-being to provide referrals as needed Educate families on newborn care, sleep routines, and postpartum self-care strategies Assist with physiological needs by understanding anatomy and physiology related to postpartum recovery Support families during intake processes, gathering relevant information, and documenting care plans accurately Create a nurturing environment that promotes healing, confidence, and family bonding during the postpartum period Qualifications Postpartum doula Certification Proven infant care experience Excellent communication skills for effective intake procedures and family education Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to support new families through their transition Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification Willingness to provide references Willingness to work overnights is preferred Join us in empowering new families during one of life's most joyful yet challenging times! $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
