Part-Time Instructor / The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University life insurance, flexible benefit account, paid holidays, sick time, 401(k), 403(b) United States, North Carolina, Greensboro Jul 02, 2026 Posting Details Classification Information Classification Type Position Overview Primary Purpose of Position The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design is accepting applications for Part-time Instructors. Part-time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach specific courses in areas such as plant science, horticulture, soil science, sustainable land management, environmental science and other natural sources related areas. The maximum teaching load is four courses per semester. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teaching face-to-face course lecture and laboratory sections, conducting assessment of student learning, and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review. Primary Function of Organizational Unit The Department of Natural Resources offers degrees in Agricultural and Environmental Systems, Landscape Architecture, and Biological Engineering, and conducts cutting-edge research in the aforementioned disciplines. Minimum Requirements Candidates must have a Master's degree in an Agricultural or Natural Resources related field. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Candidates with 1-3 years teaching experience at the University or Community College level and with background in Plant and Soil Science are preferred.
