The role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences, guiding students through various environmental topics, and preparing them for competitions that test their knowledge of ecology, forestry, wildlife, and soil science. The ideal candidate will be passionate about environmental education and possess the ability to inspire and motivate students. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum focused on environmental science topics.
  • Organize and lead outdoor learning experiences and field trips that enhance students' understanding of local ecosystems.
  • Prepare students for Envirothon competitions by providing instruction on relevant subjects, including aquatics, forestry, soils, and wildlife.
  • Collaborate with other educators and community organizations to create a comprehensive environmental education program.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their learning and development.
  • Facilitate team-building activities to promote collaboration and communication among students.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of educational materials and resources.

  • Experience working with middle school students, preferably in an educational or outdoor setting.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental science concepts and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and lead field trips in various weather conditions.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
