Position Overview:
Celina City Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) teacher to serve grades 9-12 in 2026-2027 and 7-12 in 2027-2028. The successful candidate will provide students with hands-on learning experiences that build practical life skills, encourage personal development, and prepare students for post-secondary independence.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging FCS curriculum aligned to Ohio Learning Standards. Teach courses such as culinary arts, nutrition, child development, personal finance, and career readiness. Integrate project-based and experiential learning opportunities. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support student learning. Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance. Participate in departmental, school, and district initiatives. Promote a positive classroom environment that encourages student growth and respect.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license in Family & Consumer Sciences or Health Education. Bachelor's degree in Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, or related field. Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Commitment to student-centered learning and professional growth.
