• Teaching Responsibilities Full-time instructional load teaching in areas of expertise within the academic discipline.

Regular course meetings and instruction. Mentoring Students. Other teaching responsibilities. Knowledge and ability to convey current philosophies, practices, and theories related to the academic discipline. Faculty also contribute to the Georgia College & State University core curriculum by teaching topical freshman (GC1Y) or sophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses. All Georgia College & State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching our core curriculum and providing foundation courses for majors and non-majors alike. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Terminal degree in Accounting (Ph.D. or DBA) or a closely related field form accredited university; ABD will also be considered. Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements stated in

(www.sacscoc.org (faculty credentials)). Required Experience Some teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications Record of scholarly activity, publications, or creative works. Preferred Educational Qualifications CPA certification is preferred; however, those holding other relevant accounting certifications will also be considered. Preferred Experience Instructor of record for college level classes in the related discipline. Proposed Salary Salary is commensurate with experience, with a typical range between $60,000 and $65,000.
