$83,100-$87,500 Description The Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering Education at Princeton University seeks to appoint a Lecturer for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters to teach EGR 107,
Design Fundamentals :
a course in the School of Engineering and Applied Science which introduces students to ideation, representation, and prototyping, with an emphasis on applying design as a way of thinking, communicating, and experimenting in complex, real-world contexts. The course serves as entrance into our new transdisciplinary Design Minor as well as a hands-on introduction for engineers to novel forms of problem framing and solutions. Course syllabus, assessments, and readings are already in place. Appointment and duty time are subject to enrollments and will be for both semesters during the 2026-2027 academic year. The position will have a start date of September 1, 2026.
NOTE:
In the fall of 2026, this course is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 pm - 8:50 pm. Spring scheduling will be announced at a later time. Qualifications Competitive candidates must hold a PhD in Design or closely related field, or sufficiently advanced experience in design following a Masters' program or career at a design agency. Candidates should show a strong commitment to undergraduate engineering education and experiential learning. Prior teaching experience in studio-based design courses and practice is highly desirable. Princeton University is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.
